Lenovo Servicing Videos

Some manufacturers don't want you to repair their equipment, they'd rather you add it to the WEEE/e-waste and buy a new one!  IBM has always produced Hardware Maintenance Manuals (AKA a Service Manual) and Lenovo (since purchasing the PC arm of IBM in 2005) has thankfully continued this and the HMM are not just readily available, but easily available on the support web page!

On top of that, they also produce videos showing you exactly how to take apart you computer and get to the component you need to repair or replace!

This is a fantastic resource!  I'm only saddened that the vintage/retro laptops I have in my collection are not on there as that would have been interesting to watch.

We have several dozen Lenovo V14-ADA laptops at work so I shall use that as a quick example, if you search for that model these are the results you get:

Not only are there 16 videos to watch but 5 links to the relevant Hardware Maintenance Manual!

This is one of the many reasons we keep buying more Lenovo laptops when are current ones reach the end of life when it comes to support etc. or they simply become too slow to use with modern software etc.
