In this How To... guide I will show you how to resize a hard disk drive partition using PowerQuest Partition Magic 7.0 on a Windows 2000 computer.
As always, I'm doing this on period computers so the images are not screenshots from an emulator but actual photographs on the computer I performed the task on so they wont be a clear as screenshots from an emulator, but they are genuinely authentic!
**Installation Instructions for Partition Magic 7.0 can be found here**
Click on the Start Menu > PowerQuest PartitionMagic 7.0 > PartitionMagic 7.0 - once the application has opened, click on the hard disk drive/partition you want to resize and then click on the Operations menu and then click on Resize/Move.
To resize your partition you can either use your mouse to drag the slider across the screen or you can enter the partition size(s) in the boxes as shown. Once you are happy with the partition size(s) click on Apply changes.
Click on Yes to accept the changes and then click on OK to reboot your computer for the changes to come in to affect.
Wait....
Wait some more.... Done!
Your computer will then reboot and Windows will then load.
