Compaq Evo N410c - Pentium III 1GHz, 768MB RAM (512MB + 256MB) with the original 20GB PATA/IDE HDD.
Grade: A
Any Issues: Slight vertical line down part of the screen on the left-hand side and battery does not hold charge - as expected with a laptop of this age.
This laptop came with Windows XP installed but the serial number and the sticker on the wrist-wrest are for Windows 2000 so I have formatted the hard disk and installed Windows 2000 to be as authentic as possible.
It arrived with 256MB of RAM installed, but as I had a 'Spares and Repairs' N410c that may not power on, but it did have two 512MB RAM sticks installed so I removed one and installed it in to this laptop as I might dual-boot Windows XP with this and if you have less than 512MB of RAM, Windows XP can be quite slow.
